LeBron goes off

You may or may not have noticed, but we’ve pretty much ignored every other sport not named football today. We can’t help it. Football is our favorite, we admit, but there was clearly way more going on in the NFL today than with any other sport.
So anyway, lost in all of the free agency hoopla (to us anyway) was LeBron James’ huge night. He went out of his skull in a 99-92 win over the visiting Detroit Pistons.

Dude went 16-of-27 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 40 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. Sweet Jesus.
If our math is correct, that’s a triple-double minus one of the doubles.
