Peppers to be getting $12-$14 million from Bears?
A source tells the Chicago Sun Times that a deal between former Carolina Panther DE Julius Peppers and the Chicago Bears is imminent. The deal is believed to be for six years for between $12-$14 million per year with the first three years guaranteed.
Adam Schefter is also reporting that a deal is done and that Peppers will get some $40 million guaranteed in the first three years. Wow. That’s Albert Haynesworth-type money.
The New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles also had offers out to Peppers. It’s believed that their offers were closer to the $10 million per year range.
So now that he is with Chicago, when they wear their third jerseys will he be an Orange Julius?
