Reyes has thyroid problem
New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes is on his way to New York to have tests done on his overactive thyroid, according to Matt Cerrone of Metsblog.com.
“Mets: say may be inbalance in Jose Reyes’s thyroid levels, he’s on way to NYC for testing on Monday, could be 48 hours before results,” he tweets.
Reyes was scratched from a Spring Training game the other day and no real reason was given. This would help to explain that. According to the team, further testing on his surgically repaired hamstring have revealed an overactive thyroid.
The Mets, along with everyone else, will just have to sit and wait for the results. The Mets doe indeed have awful luck.
