Wilfork gets paid
The New England Patriots have made NT Vince Wilfork a very rich man. And in turn, Wilfork gives them a stud nose tackle. Adam Schefter of ESPN says that the Patriots have signed the mammoth beast to a five-year, $40 million contract with $25 million in guarantees and $18 million of that in a signing bonus. That is almost as much as we pay Perry!
“Thanks to everyone who supported us during our time here in New England it has ment a great deal to us,” Wilfork tweeted. “With that being said we are pleased to say we will be here for MANY more years to come.”
This makes Wilfork the highest paid nose tackle in the NFL, which he probably deserves. He is a huge monster in the middle of that 3-4 defense and you can’t run that scheme effectively without a guy like Wilfork.
Researching this for some time – i guess luck is more sophisticated rather than google and yahoo…
