Comments on: Torii Hunter, not racist, just ignorant

I agree that most things we say on a daily basis are not put to the test of public scrutiny. I would like to hear comments from some people who have actually experienced "real" racism, in hiring, promotion and perceptions based on media stereotypes. Calling Torii Hunter ignorant is quite frankly….ignorant. Do we call Africans living in America, African Americans? No, Just Africans. For example, Luol Deng
is listed in Wikipedia as s " Sudanese-British" professional basketball player. Using the word ignorant in reference to Mr. Hunters comments show lack of understanding to the daily experience of most African Americans. I am a professional who is often asked the question, are you Black while receiving phone calls from customers within the U.S. Blacks are often faced with questions that may seem ridiculous and have to accept the comments without out question for fear of being hyper sensitive.
