Durant sets franchise record for 30-point games
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Kevin Durant continues to light up the NBA. Last night, in a two-point win over the New Jersey Nets, Durant set the franchise record for most 30-point games in a season as he racked up 32. This would be utterly hysterical if it was the Oklahoma City franchise record, but sadly it’s not. It dates back to the Seattle Supersonics when Spencer Haywood had 35 30-point games.
Durant went 10-of-21 shots, with two 3-pointers and went 10-of-10 from the stripe to give him 32 points. He also had 12 boards, two assists and a steal.
It was Durant’s 36th 30-point game of the season and it makes you wonder if anyone else on the Oklahoma City squad is even taking shots. Do they have any other players? We’ll find out more.
