NFL teams avoiding Vick because he’s not that good?
There has been a ton of talk (maybe too much talk) about Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick and why he hasn’t been traded yet. Should he just stop doing interviews? Do the Eagles want too much? Is he radioactive still? Maybe the answer is all of the above, or even none of the above.
Alex Marvez of Foxsports.com spoke to two personnel guys who say trading Vick is tough because his skills have eroded.
“He can’t throw,” one scout told Marvez. “A guy could be open 20 yards downfield and he’ll throw it 25. He never could throw, but he was fast before. It’s not like he’s slow now but he doesn’t stick out like, ‘Wow, this guy is faster than everybody.’”
So, Marvez reached out to another NFL scouting friend to see if he agreed that the reason the market has been cold for Vick because he just doesn’t do what he used to.
The response? “Right on,” the scout said.
We’ve been saying that Vick has been hurting his market value by running his mouth and talking about where he would like to play next, but maybe it’s much more than that. He’s also set to make $3.75 million in 2010, with $1 million already guaranteed by the Eagles. And also, let’s not forget that this guy did do hard time in a federal prison for fighting dogs. That hasn’t magically gone away. Throw in a dose of “he’s a free agent after this year and you’ll need to sign him to an extension,” and you’ve got a difficult trade situation.
Now, take everything listed in that last paragraph and couple that with the fact that many league decision makers just don’t think he’s very good, and the Eagles are going to have a very difficult time getting much in return for the former #1-overall pick.

Where is Roger Clemens’ “Game of Shadows”. You haters are funny like that. The media monster is chasing Glenn Beck’s viewers and rating. I see now. Bottom line is that if Ben can be the face of a franchise then I think Adam “Pacman” Jones can play and Vick hurt dogs but Ben rapes women!!!!!! Pacman Jone was never been charged nor has Marvin Harrison but they got the media’s guilty until guilty treatment. Just accused. As big as domestic violents was with Chris Brown and Kobe, but this guy is accused of raping two women(the media didn’t tell us about the first one until a year later?) Let me guess it just sliped your mind. Yah right. Tiger Woods cheated and people act like he raped all the women involved. (his wife and the mistresses). I didn't say Tiger didn't do anything wrong. What I am saying is what Ben has done twice is worse than Vick and Tiger Woods. He did that to a woman. At least thats what they said about Chris Brown. HLN was a "War Against Women” Campaignand this would be the perfect story but I don't hear anything. The media is racist and its clear as day and if you can't see it then that just proves your racist.
