Seantrel Henderson commits to USC
One of the biggest offensive lineman in the country, Seantrel Henderson, out of Cretin-Derham Hall (Minnesota), will be signing with the USC Trojans this week.
In a text message to The Dispatch, his father, Sean Henderson, wrote: “Seantrel’s ACT scores came in Friday. He is now academically eligible, and will be signing with USC this week.”
Seantrel was the last major blue-chip holdout of the 2010 recruiting season. I use the word ‘holdout’ loosely, because it seems if Henderson was academically eligible on National Signing Day, USC would have inked him already.
The Henderson camp stated previously they wanted to assess what possible penalties USC might face from their current NCAA investigation involving Reggie Bush before signing. Those penalties (if any) aren’t known yet, so throw out that reasoning for holding out.
At least we now know Seantrel is finally polished in middle and high school levels of English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. Hopefully, USC can find a smart student who looks like Seantrel to take his tests for him. However, that might be tough, considering Henderson is 6-8, 300 pounds.
