Bears release Vasher

NathanVasher 300x282 Bears release VasherThe Chicago Bears have released former All-Pro CB Nathan Vasher, according to Adam Schefter. Vasher, 29, was an All-Pro in 2005, but has been pretty much ineffective the last few years. Many league observers didn’t think Vasher would even make the team out of training camp anyway.

Vasher started 13 games in 2006, but has started just 11 games since. He was a stud when Ron Rivera was the defensive coordinator there and we aren’t sure if he’s a main reason why. But, Rivera is now down in San Diego and they could use a cornerback or two.

We expect the Chargers to at least kick his tires to see what he might have left.
