Bradford shines at Pro Day
Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford may not have made a huge error by staying in school last year following his Heisman Trophy. Many thought he’d be the #1-overall pick last year and he may be in line to do the same thing in this year’s NFL draft.
Bradford had his Pro Day workout on Monday and by just about every account that we’ve seen, he shined. He officially completed 49-of-50 passes and went 13-for-13 from a stationary stance.
Granted, these workouts are designed to make the guy look good and there weren’t any defenders in his face or crazy blitzes he had to recognize, but still. Those are insane numbers.
“That’s the best I’ve seen since Troy Aikman,” said NFL.com’s Gil Brandt.
John Hoover of TulsaWorld.com tweeted, “Bradford pro day: ok, official # is 49 of 50, though one (4th throw) went thru Tennell’s hands. Also threw 13 stationary; all 63 were on $.”
It seems like every can agree that this guy showed amazing accuracy and excellent velocity. What shoulder problems? Barring anything crazy, it looks like the St. Louis Rams may have their QB of the future.
