Joe Blanton, Brad Lidge, J.C. Romero head to the Mark Prior List

As expected, The Philadelphia Phillies will send closer Brad Lidge and reliever J.C. Romero to the 15-day Mark Prior list to the start the season.

Brad Lidge is recovering from a surgically repaired right elbow that he hurt at his home late last year.  During a storm, rain was getting inside the house because all the windows were up.  He injured his elbow trying to close them, which he wasn’t able to do.

J.C. Romero had left elbow surgery in October, but made his first appearance of spring training in a minor league game earlier this week.

Unexpectedly, Joey “Cheeseburger” Blanton will start the season on the Mark Prior list with a mild left oblique strain that could sideline him for three to six weeks.  He suffered the injury while throwing a side session on Wednesday.  A side session for Blanton is a completely different thing than a Jesse James’ or a Tiger Wood’s side session.

  1. I rather watch Tiger have a train wreck than seeing another grinder pull a one off win out of his hat. Can you really expect a Graeme McDowell or Louis Oosthuizen to win another major? And as bad as Tiger is playing, Phil Mickelson should have replaced him as the new Number 1 but Phil has somehow managed to play worse than Tiger.

  2. What ? I swear, They just don’t get it! The boarder is not the main problem. Its good to get extra funding but how about insted of spending 600 million lets save 100 billion and stop paying for illegals to be here!!! Don’t give them a reason to come over and the illegal population will drop by 3/4, the border can then be secured with what we already have. California spends 10.5 billion on the care of illegals, over half of the bugdet gap. And now they talk making them all legal for free, the flow across the boarder will ony grow larger. In my country they would cut your feet off if you crossed the boarder not pay you
