Eagles trade Donovan McNabb to the Skins
The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement to trade Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins, according to multiple sources close to the situation.
The Eagles receive the Redskins’ second-round pick in 2010 (#37 overall) and a fourth-round pick in 2011 that can jump to a third rounder.
The fact that McNabb was traded should not come as a surprise to anyone. However, McNabb being traded to an NFC East team that they place twice a year is a complete shock. And it’s quite possible the Eagles are now the worst team in their division.
In Philadelphia, Kevin Kolb will now get his chance to run the team. Let’s hope his body can take the same punishment McNabb took over the years from the makeshift offensive line in front of him that couldn’t pass block (and most likely still can’t).
