Redskins welcome McNabb
While the actual press conference welcoming Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins won’t happen until Monday, the ‘Skins did release a comment from new head coach Mike Shanahan. Shanahan will be Donovan’s second head coach in 11 years.
“Donovan is an accomplished quarterback who has been a proven winner in the National Football League,” Shanahan said. “I have long admired his competitiveness and feel he will be an outstanding addition to the Redskins and our community. He knows our division and the roadmap to success in the NFC East. He will set a high standard of excellence and we are very excited to welcome Donovan to the Washington Redskins.”
Yeah, he knows the division. As in “he knows the Eagles.” As in, he knows the Eagles’ offense in and out right now. Shanahan just acquired a guy who knows the Eagles offense probably the second best of anyone on the entire planet.
