Rams release Bulger

The St. Louis Rams have announced that they have severed ties with QB Marc Bulger. Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that there was interest from the Washington Redskins and that kept the Rams’ hope of finding a trading partner alive. Now that the Redskins have Donovan McNabb, however, we think it’s safe to say that they no longer would be willing to part with anything to get Bulger.

Bulger played well early in his Rams career but has been 5-32 in his last three year. Ouch. That’s absolutely brutal.

He was due $8.5 million this year and there isn’t a single soul on the planet outside of Marc Bulger who would be comfortable paying Marc Bulger that kind of money.
