Dolphins shopping Ted Ginn, Jr.

According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins are shopping disappointing WR Ted Ginn, Jr. We just wanted to make it clear that they are shopping Ted Ginn, Jr. and not Ted Ginn, Sr. The can’t afford to part with the latter at this point in time.

“Dolphins shopping WR Ted Ginn. More on NFL Network and NFL.com,” La Canfora tweets, without saying whether it’s the younger or older Ted Ginn.

This isn’t a shocker. The Dolphins took him high in the first round in 2007 because they were excited about him as a kick returner. What no one told the Dolphins is that you don’t take kick returners with the #9-overall pick. And Ginn can thank Devin Hester for that, his 2006 season made everyone want a Hester of their own.

But anyway, yes Ginn has been a huge disappointment. He’s terrified to get the ball and get touched so he drops the ball all over the field. He’s still pretty good at returning kicks, but we’re sure that the Dolphins are sick of paying him first-round money when he’s really just a returner.
