Jim Nantz doesn’t like Tiger Woods’ Masters outburst
If you didn’t already hear about this, it’s because you probably think watching golf is extremely boring and didn’t care to watch last week’s Masters. We didn’t either. It seems that it was a big deal that Tiger Woods let out a few expletives that were caught on television. We understand the part about not wanting that stuff on TV, but some people were upset that he even got pissed off. Hello? Have you ever played golf before? When you aren’t swinging wildly, taking a sip of your Old Milwaukee or searching for your ball in the woods, you are yelling and cursing. It’s part of the game.
But it seems that CBS announcer Jim Nantz really didn’t appreciate the outbursts and expletives. He went on WFAN in New York with Mike Francessa to talk about it.
“If I said what he said on the air, I would be fired,” Nantz said. “I read in the USA Today and it was called “mild language.” Someone on my broadcast dismissed it as him having a camera in his face. Well, guess what? Phil Mickelson had a camera in his face all week and did you even hear him come close to approaching that? He didn’t hit every shot the way he wanted. Have you ever heard Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus use that kind of language? What are the parameters between what’s right or wrong?”
Fair enough, but when you put microphones on athletes while they are performing, this stuff is going to happen. And in case you missed one of the incidents, we found it for you on Youtube:
Jim Nantz is a jerk. If Tiger Woods hosted a show it would be extremely unlikely that he would use profanity. But when a network places live, ultra-sensitive mics in close proximity (and mostly out of sight of the players), they shouldn't be shocked or outraged at a momentary emotional outburst from an athlete. If live mics were anywhere near the players in a football, baseball, soccer or hockey game, Nantz would probably have nothing else to talk about. But those mics are esconced safely out of earshot high in the announcer's booth. In any case, the media made a hysterical case out of something that should have been between Tiger and his wife. Incredible insensitivity, just to sell papers, magazines, and air-time to people with unexciting lives of their own.

Where were Jim Nantz all these years? Is he trying to kick somebody when he is down in his life?
This is crazy, is TWs worse than Janet Jackson? or some stupid actors who say anything on TV but not accounted for their action. This is how media changes course of its legit work and take over the tabloids work. Can Jim Nantz tell us that he is saint or holy? God this is the twenty first century where you are entitled to spend the night watching those creepy #### movies. Haven't you done that and try to act like one? This has been said not only once but many times from the CEOs to Political party leaders, from priests to house wives. What is different with TWs now? . I bet you if you had 1% of TWs ' wealth, you would try to rule the world. Let's be real and let the truth come out loud. Inferiority complex should not be our guidance and let the truth be told. Let's see ourselves through the mirror and tell if we are flawless!!!! For sure Mr. Michelson knows himself and didn't dare to utter a word. I aint kick someone when he/she is at his lowest point in his life!!! This tells me that Nantz is trying to get his 15 minute of fame.
