Holt to the Patriots

Tom Curran of Comcast Sports New England tweets that former St. Louis Ram and Jacksonville Jaguar Torry Holt will be signing with the New England Patriots. ESPN’s John Clayton says it’s a one-year deal worth up to $1.7 million.
Holt had said before that he’d like to be reunited with Mike Martz in Chicago, but clearly Chicago wanted no parts of him.
We really don’t know how much the 34-year old has left in the tank, but we know Bill Belichick likes to sign old guys. Holt could provide a little help as the team waits for Wes Welker to get fully healthy.
