Brian Cushing suspended four games
Oh, so maybe that’s why he is so damn good. Last year’s defensive rookie of the year Brian Cushing seems like he had a little help getting to the finish line. The Houston Texans LB has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s steroids policy.
Cushing can participate in training camp, but can’t play in weeks one through four. It’s only a crushing blow to the Texans if it turns out he’s still as good without taking steroids. If he goes the Shawne Merriman route, the Texans won’t miss him.
Cushing was a Pro Bowler in 2009, but because of a league rule, he can’t be one in 2010. If you get suspended for any part of the season due to steroids, you are automatically ineligible for the Pro Bowl. That will not stop many idiots from voting for him anyway.
Cushing was also the subject of a false rumor before the 2009 draft that he had tested positive for steroids. Makes you wonder how false it was.

Everybody in NJ knew the kid was juicing at Bergen Catholic. He was a skinny HS kid and skinny kids don't add muscle the way he did.
Strictly speaking, Cushing must have screwed up. After getting away with this as long as he did, I'm sure he was shocked they caught him.
