Russell clears waivers
As we continue to come to grips with the notion that we won’t have JaMarcus Russell to kick around anymore, we feel like we need to squeeze out as many JaMarcus posts as we can before he finally drifts away into obscurity. We don’t know if he’ll sign elsewhere and that could be it for him. There is always the hope that he has sex with an underaged prostitute, but one can never be sure.
ESPN’s John Clayton confirms that JaMarcus has officially cleared waivers. Given his level of NFL service, every team had the wonderful opportunity of picking up his contract. Surprisingly, there were no takers.
So that means that JaMarcus is a full-on free agent, free to sign with any team that has temporarily lost its mind and thinks he’d be a valuable addition to their football team.
As for now, he shockingly doesn’t have an free agent visits set up.
