Coyotes could return to Winnipeg?

TeamuSelanne 222x300 Coyotes could return to Winnipeg?Sources tell TSN that the Phoenix Coyotes could return to the city from which they came. That’s right the Coyotes could be heading back Winnipeg, which is very far from Phoenix in case you don’t have a map handy.

The sources say that the decision could come in the next three weeks.

The city of Glendale is trying to push Ice Edge Holdings to sign a deal of exclusivity that has some sort of ties to the existing lease. Basically, they are scrambling to keep the Coyotes in Phoenix.

But if a deal can’t be reached, the NHL may have to execute a plan “B” for the Coyotes, which would include relocating them. They are losing tons of money out in Phoenix and something has to change.

Winnipeg is considered the front runner for the relocation based on the existing fan base and arena. It’s viewed as the easiest turn-key solution for placing an NHL franchise. Oh, and Winnipeg is in f’ing Canada where they actually watch hockey even when the local team isn’t winning. People in Arizona aren’t exactly raised on ice hockey.

What we want to know is if they’d go back to being the Winnipeg Jets. That’d be great. And they should get the same uniforms back too.

Maybe Carolina should move back to Hartford next. Then the NHL should stop putting teams down south, but that’s to obvious.

I say that the Coyotes move back to winnepeg, however, while the arena is being built, they can play their home games in Kansas city. That way the NHL will realize that the KC fans will go to the games, and that KC will be next in line for a permanent team.

  6. This is acquiring a bit much more subjective, but I significantly choose the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has far more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see connected albums, songs, or other users associated to what you’re listening to. Clicking on a single of those will center on that item, and one more set of “neighbors” will occur into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” can also be excellent fun, letting you discover other people with shared tastes and becoming buddies with them. You then can listen to some playlist developed based on an amalgamation of what all your buddies are listening to, which can also be enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy is going to be relieved to understand you can avoid the public from seeing your individual listening habits in case you so select.
