Maine rips Manuel
The New York Mets have enough problems right now that they don’t need players arguing with managers. But that’s what it’s come to. John Maine was pulled from Thursday’s 10-7 win over the Washington Nationals and he was not happy about it. Even hours after the game, Maine was still fuming.
“There’s no reason I should be seeing a (expletive) doctor tomorrow,” Maine said. “I feel something all the time. We’re pitchers. Every pitcher does.”
Obviously the doctors will tell Maine what the problem is if there is any. But Jerry Manuel and pitching coach Dan Warthen seem hell bent on not listening to Maine.
“John is a habitual liar in a lot of ways as far as his own health,” Warthen said. “He’s a competitor and a warrior and he wants to go out there and pitch. But we have to be smart enough to realize this guy isn’t right. The ball isn’t coming out of his hands correctly.”
Wow, that’s not good. And it also wasn’t good that not one of Maine’s five pitches hit 85 mph.
“I thought that he would hurt himself trying to pitch at that velocity,” Manuel said. “I didn’t think it would be good for him as well as the team.”

Aw, this is a top quality post. In theory I would like to write like that too – taking some time and actual focus to make an excellent post… but what can I say… I procrastinate all the time and never seem to get anything done…

I need to say, as very much as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt assist but lose interest following a although. Its as in the event you had a fantastic grasp on the topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Possibly you should take into consideration this from more than one angle. Or possibly you shouldnt generalise so a lot. Its far better if you think about what others may have to say as opposed to just going for a gut reaction on the topic. Think of adjusting your own thought method and giving other people who may possibly go through this the benefit of the doubt.
