Roy Halladay throws perfect game
The Flyers and Blackhawks may be battling it out in Chicago, but there was another important game for the City of Brotherly Love tonight. 
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Roy Halladay retired 27 batters, earning him a perfect game. Halladay was coming off a rough game against the Red Sox where he gave up seven runs in less than six innings.
The Phillies beat the Florida Marlins 1-0 because of an error by center fielder Cameron Maybin that allowed Wilson Valdez to score from first.
Halladay’s performance was the second perfect game in the majors this month alone. On May 9, Oaklands Dallas Braden was perfect against Tampa Bay. The only other Phillies pitcher to throw a perfect game was Jim Bunning in 1964.
