Ellsbury to be out two more weeks
Boston Red Sox fans and a lot of fantasy baseball owners are getting pretty frustrated with Jacoby Ellsbury’s ribs. He took a seat earlier this year to heal his ailing midsection and then re-injured himself when he came back.
Now, according to SI’s Jon Heyman on Twitter, Ellsbury has a bigger problem and he’s going to miss another two weeks.
“2nd opinion on ellsbury ribcage injury reveals bigger issue. he needs at least 2 more weeks rest. #redsox,” Heyman tweets with proper use of hashtags.
Not good, but not entirely shocking either. You had to figure something else was wrong when the ribs just wouldn’t heal on their own.
