Minnesota trying to move Jefferson?
Multiple sources tell ESPN’s Chad Ford that the Minnesota Timberwolves have been working the phones pretty hard in an effort to make a trade. Ford says he’s heard everything from trying to move up to No. 2 to get Evan Turner to trying to swing a deal with Memphis to get Zach Randolph (although his update says that the Randolph talks have cooled considerably).
But the one constant that he’s hearing from multiple teams that have been in talks with the T-Wolves is Al Jefferson. It seems like they are destined to move this guy, who still has three years and $42 million remaining on his contract.
Jefferson is coming off of a knee injury, but he can still be a good post presence. They seem to want to get an expiring contract in return, because who would really want Zach Randolph? I mean…c’mon.
