Georgia AD Damon Evans gets DUI, possibly pink slip
Georgia athletic director Damon Evans was arrested in Atlanta last Wednesday after being pulled over by a state trooper for driving erratically.
In the car with Evans was 28-year-old Courtney Fuhrmann, who is not his wife. Or daughter. She is “just a friend.” And she must be a pretty good friend because when she decided she didn’t want to wear her underwear anymore, Evans graciously offered to keep the red panties safe in his lap. Ladies, why are the good ones always taken?
The officer, who immediately smelled alcohol, asked Evans to take a field sobriety test. Evans responded by pulling the “I’m kind of a big deal” card.

“I am not trying to bribe you but I’m the athletic director of the University of Georgia,” said Evans. He then asked if the officer could just give him a warning. Not to be shown up, Fuhrmann decided she couldn’t possibly sit in the car like a lady and was arrested herself.
Evans gave an emotion press conference speech where he announced he was not going to resign, but we have a feeling it’s not really up to him. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t record this PDA telling students not to drink and drive that is was played before games. OK, it would still be bad.
We think the whole thing is the University’s fault. With a measly salary of only $550,000 how was Evans supposed to afford a taxi? Ridiculous.
