How did De Jong not get a red card against Spain? (video)
Spain had high expectations headed into the 2010 World Cup. They were considered the favorites to win the tournament and that’s just what they did when they took out the Dutch 1-0 in Sunday’s final.
The Dutch were walking the line of fair play all game. It seemed at one point like every single one of their players was playing with a yellow card.
But what we couldn’t stand was the yellow card given to De Jong. How is this a yellow card? This is a straight red and the ref punked out by not putting the Netherlands down a man. If this isn’t a red…what is?
