Tim Tebow signs with the Broncos
The Broncos took a huge chance when they selected Florida QB Tim Tebow in the first round of the NFL Draft this past April. Depending on who you ask, he is either a sure-fire Hall of Famer or a complete bust waiting to happen.
But the Broncos took that leap and were “that team.” As in, the team that took Tebow.
Well, now it seems that he has agreed to terms with Denver and will be able to join early-reporting veterans at training camp. Full camp opens on Sunday August 1st for the Broncos.
“[He] obviously has all the traits that you’re looking for in terms of toughness and competitiveness,” Head Coach Josh McDaniels said of Tebow back in April. “He’s intelligent and he’s won a lot of games. He’s a leader, he works hard and he’s got all the intangibles that you look for in a player at that position. He’s produced a lot of numbers and statistically — I’m not even going to talk about that because he’s one of the best in a long, long time.”
You better hope so. Right now you have a lot of eggs in his basket (if that even makes sense). You have other eggs in the baskets of the likes Brady Quinn and Kyle Orton. You might need more eggs and more baskets.
