Yankees on verge of landing Berkman?

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Yankees are close to trading for Houston Astros slugger Lance Berkman.
“Hearing Berkman deal from #Astros to #Yankees is on verge of completion,” Sherman tweets.
It’s not known at this point what the Astros are asking in return, but we doubt they’d be able to get Jesus Montero. It’s also not known if Berkman would be willing to waive his no-trade clause.
But we can’t imagine a scenario in which he wants to stay with a team that is terrible and was terrible even before they traded Roy Oswalt to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Researching this for a while now – i reckon luck is more progressive as compared with google and yahoo…
