Bengals sign Gresham
Cincinnati Enquirer writer Joe Reedy tweets that the Bengals have finally inked first-round pick Jermaine Gresham to a contract. He was drafted No. 21 overall in the 2010 NFL draft.
“League source on Gresham’s deal — $15.8 million/$9.6 million guaranteed/$18.5 million max,” he tweets.
Gresham will probably join the first team immediately, as the Bengals don’t have any great tight ends on the roster. He’s an unproven blocker, but his receiving skills could open things up for Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens and Antonio Bryant (if he ever gets on the field).
Gresham has been working out at the University of Oklahoma, but will be with the team in time for their 3 PM practice tomorrow.
