A-Rod limps out of batting practice
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez got whacked by a Lance Berkman liner in batting practice today and limped off the field with an apparent leg injury. A-Rod was taking balls at third base when he was hit. He hopped around for a bit, then went to the ground before being helped off the field.
“The trainer just got up and A-Rod is now walking off under his own power. It was his left shin, I believe,” tweets ESPNNewYork’s Andrew Marchand.
Marchand believes it was his left shin that got hit. Right now, we don’t know if this will keep him out of the lineup today against the Boston Red Sox.
