K-Rod rocks father-in-law’s party
Well this is interesting. We’ve heard of domestic assault before where some dude goes off and cracks his significant other or maybe, say, chokes out the mother of his six-year old. But to go out and clock your girl’s dad? I think this is a new one even for OTR.
But that’s apparently what happened. New York Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez go into it with his father-in-law in the Citi Field clubhouse following a 6-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies. Police wouldn’t say whether he was arrested for slugging or shoving the 53-year old, whose name is being withheld.
K-Rod (we thought the K was in reference to all his strikeouts. Maybe it means “knockout.”) was detained overnight at the stadium by police for security reasons.
He’s charged with third-degree assault.
The Mets have acknowledged that something went down, but have declined to comment further. It’s not known at this time how this will affect future Christmas get-togethers at the Rodriguez household.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” can also be excellent fun, letting you discover others with shared likes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist developed depending on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will probably be relieved to find out you’ll be able to prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits in the event you so select.
