Saints add Ladell Betts

LadellBetts 300x172 Saints add Ladell BettsThe New Orleans Saints didn’t wait long to replace fallen RB Lynell Hamilton, who was lost for the season last week. The Saints just signed former Washington Redskin Ladell Betts to a one-year $755,000 contract plus a $50,000 signing bonus.

Many people might jump to the conclusion (like Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com did) that Betts will join the backfield rotation with Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush. We don’t think so. We even think he might not make the team.

Betts was never a great RB and he’s now coming off reconstructive knee surgery on his torn ACL and MCL. He’s 31-years old now and in his ninth year. He’s never really been terribly good. We don’t see him taking too much from Thomas, if anything at all.

Betts also had interest from Houston, San Francisco and Denver, but there is a reason he hasn’t been on anyone’s roster until now.

  2. Youre not the average weblog writer, guy. You surely have one thing powerful to add to the internet. Your design is so powerful that you simply could practically get away with getting a bad writer, but youre even amazing at expressing what you might have to say. Such a good website. Ill be back for a lot more.

  5. I need to say, as much as I loved reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose attention after a while. It’s as if you had a fantastic grasp on the subject matter, but you didn’t remember to include your readers. Maybe you should take into consideration this from more than 1 direction. Or probably you shouldn’t generalise so very much. It’s better if you think about what other people may have to express rather than just going for a gut reaction to the issue. Think of modifying your own notion procedure and giving other people who may go through this the benefit of the doubt.
