Revis close to signing a deal with the Jets?
Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw is standing by his report that the New York Jets and CB Darrelle Revis are close to coming to an agreement and that the deal will probably be announced on Wednesday.
“@NickSpano i was told they will announce it this week, not def wednesday but probably wednesday. This person has never been wrong,” Cowlishaw tweets.
Cowlishaw acknowledges that he’s going to get some push back from Jets reporters, but doesn’t back down from his report.
“I expect Jets writers to shoot down what I wrote about Revis. That’s their job. It’s not Wednesday is it? I fully expect it then,” he tweets.
Indeed they have tried to do that. The Newark Star-Ledger, New York Daily News and even Adam Schefter of ESPN have cautioned against buying into this report.
Rotoworld.com makes it very clear that Cowlishaw is a columnist and not a reporter. They originally thought his Twitter account got hacked. They not that he has no track record of breaking stories.
I guess we’ll all find out on Wednesday.
