Carmelo would prefer the Houston Rockets?
League sources tell Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski that Josh Kroenke (Stan’s son) sat down with Carmelo Anthony over the weekend in Baltimore in an attempt to try to sell the superstar on staying in Denver and signing a contract extension.
According to the sources, no resolutions were reached. Not shocking.
Wojnarowski is also told that all the talk of ‘Melo wanting to go to New York to play with the Knicks is overblown. He would really like to join the Houston Rockets. Why? We have no clue, and the report doesn’t say.
However, Anthony knows that his best bet to get the most money out of all of this is to take the three-year, $65 million extension that’s sitting on the table now from the Nuggets. A trade he could worry about later. Especially with all of the uncertainty regarding the next CBA and owners insistent on shortening the length of these insane max contracts.
Anthony knows that he’d be taking a big risk by playing out the last year of his deal and hoping for a ginormous deal on the open market.

Why join the Houston Rockets? Why not? Not only is Houston the best kept secret of a place to live in the US but Houston has the talent to contend. Are you serious? Actually you are right, you don't have a clue. Who wants to play for an owner who wants to win. Who wants to play with one of the best coaches in the NBA. Who wants to play with one of the deepest squads in the NBA. Who could possibly want to play for a team with one of the smartest GM's in basketball? Who could possibly want a chance to win a championship knowing that being with that team could put them over the top instantly. sptt…please. Do you watch basketball? I cannot wait for the season to start, yankee.
