Patriots extend kicker Stephen Gostkowski
There’s probably nobody that can kick the football on the Patriots better than Stephen Gostkowski. For that, New England has decided to honor his abilities by extending his contract. The deal is worth $14 million over four years with $5 million guaranteed.
This deal moves Gostkowski up on most fantasy draft boards, possibly moving all the way up to the fourth round in leagues where kickers can also be inserted into the flex position.

Along with his 21 touchbacks in 2009, ‘The Ghost’ nailed 26 out of 31 field goals, including three over 50 yards. He also managed five solo tackles. Stephen is sometimes brought in for goal line defenses. For his career, he has hit over 85% of his field goals.
Some Gostkowski fun facts before you move on for the day. While playing at Madison Central High School in Mississippi, Stephen once chased down Atlanta Falcons running back Jerious Norwood at the 25-yard line after kicking off to him, preventing a touchdown.
