Campbell’s stinger not too serious

With all the concern over Jason Campbell’s stinger that he suffered against the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend (it did look bad), the bigger problem appears to be his injured throwing wrist. It looks like he’ll actually be ok from the stinger.

“After the X-rays, (the stinger) does not appear to be too serious,” Raiders coach Tom Cable said.

The wrist could be a problem though. Cable was non-committal when asked if Campbell would play in the final exhibition game.

“We just need to rehab it and make sure he is ready to go.”

The team seems optimistic about Campbell being ready for Week 1 though, so go ahead and draft him as your third QB with confidence.
