McNabb says Redskins can’t win without Haynesworth
We mentioned earlier that there were rumors of the Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans working a trade for disgruntled lineman Albert Haynesworth. While that’s still possible, the team’s quarterback doesn’t think that shipping Haynesworth out of town is a good idea.
In fact, Donovan McNabb says that the team can’t win without him.
“Albert is one of our brothers in the locker room,” McNabb said during his radio show on ESPN 980. “[H]e understands, ‘Hey, I got to put the time and effort in. We can’t win without him. I think he’ll be here. I hope he’ll be here.”
This is all well and good for him to support his teammate (none of the others have been willing to do that), but he’ll need to have an answer ready to the obvious question that will come up should the Redskins part with Albert. And that question of course is: “So you don’t think you have a chance now?”
You know the media will jump all over that one.
