Marlins shut down Johnson

JoshJohnson1 270x300 Marlins shut down Johnson This isn’t a surprise. After Florida Marlins pitcher Josh Johnson failed to throw a bullpen session over the weekend, the team went ahead and made the decision to shut him down for the year.

Johnson was diagnosed with shoulder inflammation and a back strain. Considering they aren’t even in sniffing distance of the playoffs, it was a smart move to just call it a seasoni.

Johnson was having a brilliant year and would have been a Cy Young candidate (we guess he still is). He has a 2.30 ERA with an 11-6 record. Homeboy was mowing them down.
