Beanie in question against the Falcons

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells is off to a slow start this season because of injuries. And that doesn’t seem to be changing this week.

Wells was again limited in Thursday’s practice because of a bum knee. And beat writer Kent Somers doesn’t seem to think he’s going to play this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

“Beanie Wells said he will practice Fri. But that’s a light day. Missing Wed and Thur work suggests he won’t play in Atlanta,” Somers tweets.

Even if he does play, how much will he possibly contribute? Head coach Ken Whisenhunt already said last week that he doesn’t want this to become an issue later in the season. One would have to assume he’ll err on the side of caution with Wells.
