Oden doesn’t know if he’ll be back by Christmas

This poor guy just can’t get healthy. Portland Trailblazers big man Greg Oden is trying to come back from a busted knee cap, but it’s taking quite a bit (not that we know the usual timetable for returning from such an injury).

And the Associated Press reports that Oden couldn’t say for sure that he’d be back playing before Christmas (that’s December 25th. Unless he opens his presents on December 24th, which would be a tighter deadline).

When asked if he’d be back by then, he “threw up his hands and shrugged his shoulders.”

“I wish I could honestly say there’s a timeline, but there’s not,” Oden said. “There’s good days and bad days.”

It’s past the time to worry about Oden’s ability to play a full season in the NBA.
