Arenas faked an injury?

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas has already proven to be kind of a douchebag. Suspended for most of last year for brandishing firearms in the locker room, Arenas doesn’t seem to get it.

The latest evidence of this? He actually said after a preseason game that he faked an injury so that Nick Young could get more playing time. And you admitted this…why?

“I know he’s kind of frustrated he’s not getting a chance to crack the three position, especially since we’re going three guards, so I told him I’d go ahead and fake an injury or say something’s wrong with me so you can start,” a smiling Arenas said after the game.

Really? We’ve got no problem with someone pulling this stupid crap in the preseason, but why do you have to admit it? Why would you say that. Yet another reason why his coaches won’t be able to trust him moving forward.

It doesn’t matter what you lied about. You lied. And that will be in everyone’s head the next time you open your mouth.
