Miller’s thumb injury could be serious

The Miami Heat cannot afford too many injuries. Why? Because after they landed LeBron James and Chris Bosh to go with Dwyane Wade, they only had enough cap space to have one more player on their roster. That’s right, they have four people on their team total and now one is hurt.

Mike Miller has a banged up thumb and some are wondering whether he may need surgery. Some have speculated that he could miss several months.

“LeBron James, on what Heat players are hearing about Mike Miller’s timetable: “I heard several weeks, a significant time,” tweets Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

We don’t know exactly what is wrong with his thumb or what the prognosis is, but the consensus seems to be that the injury is pretty serious. We’d think that LeBron or maybe Eddie House at some point would help with three-point shooting duties.
