Heat sign Stackhouse
When it came about that Mike Miller had a pretty severely busted thumb, the Miami Heat knew they had to do something in order to field a full basketball team. With their payroll pretty much eaten completely by three players, their options were limited.
And that is what Jerry Stackhouse is for. He’s 36-years old, but he doesn’t need permission to shoot. Just pass him the ball and watch him create his own shot. Even shots that aren’t there!
And that’s what the Heat will do. The team confirmed on their Twitter account that they have signed the aged Stackhouse.
“Confirmed: @MiamiHEAT signs Jerry Stackhouse,” they tweeted.
SIDE NOTE: Go to their official Twitter page to see a picture of the entire team.
Stackhouse actually proved last year that he does have something left. He might be able to give you 15 minutes a game if all he has to do is stand there and shoot. That’s not too tiring and he loves to do it.
