Maybin was a healthy scratch
The Buffalo Bills are by all accounts, not a very good team. Despite the fact that they went into Baltimore yesterday and gave the Ravens all they could handle, they are still not even considered decent.
So, when you have a team that’s this bad and you were a first-round pick last year and still can’t get on the field? That’s pretty bad.
And that’s exactly what is happening with Aaron Maybin. The former Penn St. star was taken with the No. 11-overall pick in 2009 and was a healthy scratch against the Ravens on Sunday. Yeah, that’s pretty bad.
Maybin is lousy against the run, to the point where he can’t even be out there in early down situations. He’s supposed to be a pass-rushing specialist, but he has no sacks in 20 career games (21 if you count the game yesterday that he wasn’t active for).
I think it’s safe to say that he isn’t even a lock to make the roster next year out of training camp.
