Hall and Landry crossed the line and paid for it

DeSeanJackson 300x218 Hall and Landry crossed the line and paid for itMost people saw that skirmish on Monday night before the absolute beatdown that the Philadelphia Eagles handed the Washington Redskins. It started with LaRon Landry and DeAngelo Hall popping off to DeSean Jackson.

But, what was said? Well, according to multiple reports, Landry and Hall were making references to Jackson’s concussion history. Which, if true, is remarkable classless, even for those two.

“There were some disrespectful things being said, but I am not going to get into it,” Jackson said. “Sometimes I think these football players take football too seriously and what he said was disrespectful … The pregame altercation got it going. We came back in the locker room and were ready to go. We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage. I think it helped out a lot and especially because they came into our house and put a good butt whooping on us. We wanted to come in here and return the favor.”

Way to make a dogfighting reference on the night that Michael Vick set serious records. But, I digress.

The Eagles are the ones that ended up laughing, and it didn’t take long for the laughter to ensue. Thanks to Jim Haslett, Hall played off of Jackson on the first play from scrimmage. Jackson ran right by him. Then he ran right past Landry. He hauled in a Vick deep ball and then skated backwards the final 10 yards on his way to an 88-yard touchdown.

That’s what he thinks of your concussion jokes. While Jackson only caught one more pass the entire night, the damage was done. The Eagles knocked the piss out of the Redskins on their way to a 59-28 win. Most points scored in Monday Night Football history.
