Gradkowski out for the year
It seems like players are just dropping like flies in the Bay Area. With news of Frank Gore missing the rest of the season, now it’s Bruce Gradkowski’s turn for the Oakland Raiders.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Gradkowski suffered a Grade 3 shoulder separation against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.
Whew! Finally! No more quarterback controversy!
Jason Campbell will now be the guy for the rest of the year. However, the Raiders are no closer to solving their QB situation now than they were at this time last year. Obviously, they don’t love Campbell as the starter. If they did, he wouldn’t have had such a short leash to start the season. And Gradkowski is a nice backup, but not a guy you’d ride to a Super Bowl.
It will be interesting to see what moves they make this offseason to bring in the next JaMarcus Russell. Big shoes to fill. And big cups to fill with Sizzurp too.
