Linus Omark’s shootout goal! (video)

We don’t know what we love more. This dickish move by Edmonton Oiler Linus Omark? Or the fact that the Tampa Bay Lightning really didn’t appreciate it?

Check out Linus as he pulls a 360, fakes a slap shot, slaps his stick on the ice, all before he slides the puck in the five hole. It’s incredibly dickish, but it’s fun as hell to watch.

Steven Stamkos of the Lightning made it clear that he didn’t think it was nearly cool as OTR did.

“I didn’t think it showed a lot of respect in this game,” said Stamkos, whose shootout goal wasn’t nearly as good as Omark’s mainly because it didn’t go in.

“I mean, you don’t see Crosby or Ovechkin doing that and they’re the two best players in the game.

“(Omark’s) a creative player, he’s got good skill. I’m not taking that away from him, but it didn’t really have any implication on his moves, so I don’t know why he did that.”
