Palmer won’t set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again?
Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer has made it clear to anyone who will listen that he no longer wants to play for them. He’s even said that he’ll retire before he plays for them again.
And a report from WCPO says that he’s dead serious.
“I will never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again,” he reportedly said to one confidant.
He continued, “I have $80 million in the bank. I don’t have to play football for money. I’ll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere. I’m prepared to live my life.”
You can definitely have a nice lifestyle at $80 million. Even living luxuriously, that will definitely last you the rest of your life. It seems that the Bengals are taking him seriously, however, and a recent report from Peter King suggests that the Bengals will field offers when a new CBA is reached.
