Mallett sliding out of round one?

NFL teams don’t seem to have any problems with the abilities of Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett on the field. However, it’s been made clear that they worry about him off the field. Whether it’s his attitude or his rumored drug use, teams aren’t in love with him.

And according to SI.com’s Tony Pauline, it’s heavily affecting his draft stock. According to Pauline, Mallett is headed towards a big slide at the end of April, possibly out of the first round.

One source calls Mallett, “this year’s Dez Bryant.” Although this could be different because Bryant didn’t slide out of the first round. Mallett very well could.

Pauline say that the concerns with him date back to his time at Michigan. And while a lot of times these rumors are floated by teams so that players will fall to them at their pick, it seems like there is a lot of smoke to Mallett rumors. They can’t all be manufactured stories, can they?
