Oswalt to throw bullpen session Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies righthander Roy Oswalt has been on the DL with a sore back that he presumably injured while running out a bunt. But, according to Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer, he’s still on pace to make his Tuesday start.
“Oswalt will throw a bullpen Sunday and is still expected to start Tuesday,” Gelb tweets.
Oswalt tends to be the forgotten man in the Philadelphia rotation. He’s a staff ace on most teams, but on the Phils he gets kind of lost in the shuffle. Not bad for a guy who is 3-1 with a 3.33 ERA and 21 K’s this season.
If Oswalt can’t go on Tuesday, Kyle Kendrick will probably make the start.
